Missing Monero

Hey guys, I am new to Monero but been involved with Bitcoin since 2011... I recently converted BTC to XMR using shapeshift.io and had the proceeds deposited into my MyMonero wallet which seemed to clear fine. I then downloaded Monero GUI beta 2 and transferred into the new wallet address. This is where the Monero seems to have disappeared. I didn't use the integrated address, just the normal address which is where I may have gone wrong. Another possibility is that MyMonero may have scammed me.

Any thoughts?

Thanks for the reply mate. My Monerod caught up and all Monero are counted for.

Note: MyMonero is legitimate (4/6/2017)
