How the community approves ideas?

What is the procedure of approving?

Good question! I've been active in the Monero community for years, and I don't know how funding requests are approved. Originally, the idea was that discussion on the forum would show whether users are interested in donating, but nobody uses the forum anymore, except for requesting funding.

So let's discuss here the procedures that are needed, in order for an idea to be approved. Any idea?

There are various avenues for community discussion. If you go to getmonero.org/community/hangouts you will find a lot of the places where people congregate to discuss. The biggest is probably IRC and Reddit. This forum is just for presenting the proposals themselves. Of course discussion can occur on the proposals thread here as well.

I dont think is a good idea to have varius avenues for community public discussions. Especially in case these public discussions are not searchable. This results the same issues to be discussed again and again. This is a huge waste of human resources.

There is no formal procedure in place. The point is not to accept/reject ideas after a specific procedure, but rather discuss and refine them until they are defined to a point that a proposal can be written.

In my opinion, it is initially up to the proposer(s) to organize and push discussions around their ideas, hence we do not want to impose any specific procedure that everyone would have to follow.
