LightWeight / Pruned node

X = We have it
O = We need it?

X Hosted wallet (ex: kraken, mymonero.com) (very convenient - obviously not private)
X Local monero client using remote daemon (--daemon-address some.remote.node)
O Local monero client connecting to Pruned local node (not an option currently?)
X Local monero client connecting to Full local node (monerod)

For non-miners who use Monero for private purchases it would be nice to have a light-weight option that still provides full privacy.

(correct me if im wrong)
The pruned node would need to read all block headers up to the creation of its wallet address (small and fast).
From there it would need to read all subsequent full blocks, but would not need to store all of the data locally.

Would this be a good pairing with the GUI wallet?
